Anakin Skywalker: The creation of a legend
"Revan was power. It was like staring into the heart of the Force."
The Mandalorian War was over; the fierce warriors vanished from the galaxy. Coming from the edges of space Revan and Malak, the former Heroes of the Republic, were back to the galaxy as Sith conquerors. A new war rose. The Jedi Civil War quickly spread through the galaxy. Again, words burned in pain.
A master of the Force, and an exceptionally brilliant strategist, Revan had great plans to the galaxy. During his reign as Dark Lord of the Sith, Revan visited many times the Temple of the Ancients, a place very strong in the Force in the remote and almost unknown planet of Lehon. There, the Dark Lord created and left his holocron, one that would carry Revan's legacy across millennia.
Years passed, the war was over, the Sith extinct again and the Jedi reduced to a few dozens. Centuries of reconstruction followed to the Republic, the Jedi and the galaxy…
The Dark Side Rises
For centuries, the Jedi maintained peace in the galaxy. However, as happened before, and as would happen latter, a Jedi got fascinated by the obscure techniques of the Force.
Once an intelligent and charismatic Jedi Master, Phanius followed a distinct philosophy, one very similar to the yet to come Potentium. As happened to many, Phanius got fascinated by the obscure techniques of the dark side. Leaving the Order to study the Sith arts, Phanius became the first of the lost twenty.
The fallen Jedi Master united several Sith cultists under his leadership, becoming Darth Ruin and initiating the New Sith Wars against the Jedi.
Though Ruin's Sith Order quickly disintegrated, the war continued for a thousand years as other Sith Lords rose, such as Dark Underlord, Darth Rivan, Belia Darzu and Kaan.
The Sith were back to the galaxy!
A New Sith Order
"I am the Dark Lord who will restore the Sith to glory. They call me Bane."
For a thousand years Jedi and Sith battled all over the galaxy. In a bloody war, there were heroes and brutes on both sides. Some thousand years before the Empire, the Dark Lord of the Sith Kaan and his Brotherhood of Darkness were fighting the Jedi fiercely.
By that time, most of the Sith were trained in the Sith Academy of Korriban, the planet of the ancient Sith. During his studies there, Bane, a promising Sith, mastered as none the Force and his physical abilities.
In his studies, Bane learned a lot of the Sith Lord of ancient time. Fascinated by Darth Revan, Bane started questioning the ways of the Brotherhood of Darkness, asking why no one took the title of Darth.
After his training, Bane went further in studying the history of Revan, the most brilliant Sith Lord ever.
Following what he learned from history and from the spirits of ancient Darths in the Valley of the Sith, Bane went to Lehon, a lost and forgotten world. There he looked for the Temple of Ancients, where he found and accessed Revan's holocron.
Through the holocron, Bane learned from the powerful Sith Lord. Among many other things, Bane learned about the true nature of the Sith and their behavior, creating his Rule of the Strong, the Rule of Two.
Back to the war, Bane met Kaan, leader of the Brotherhood, giving him one of the many secrets he learned from Revan, a gift that would destroy the Jedi and, unknown to Kaan, the Sith too.
In Ruusan, Kaan reunited the Sith in a cave, luring most of the Jedi there after them. While waited, Kaan and the other Sith build the Thought Bomb. Believing they would survive to the artifact engineered by the Darth Revan, the Brotherhood activated the bomb as the Jedi reached them, liberating an immensely powerful blast that hit all the planet.
As known to Bane and Revan, the explosion was so strong that no Jedi or Sith survived, all being trapped in what would become the Valley of the Jedi.
The only Force user survivors of Ruusan, Bane and Zannah, his new pupil, left the planet and founded the Order of the Sith Lords based on the Rule of Two and Revan's teachings.
Believed to be extinct, the Sith remained hidden for centuries, giving time to the Republic to heal and implant the Ruusan Reformation.
"Darth Plagueis was a Dark Lord of the Sith, so powerful and so wise, he could use the Force to influence the midi-chlorians to create life. He had such a knowledge of the dark side, he could even keep the ones he cared about from dying."
For many generations the galaxy felt safe without the Sith menace. The Sith, though, remained hidden, plotting and preparing the return of the mighty Sith empire.
Centuries after Bane's creation of the New Sith Order, a new Dark Lord came to power, Darth Plagueis, the Wise.
Obsessed with eternal life, Plagueis spent most of his years studying and developing the arts of Sith Alchemy and ways to preserve life.
As he developed his powers, Plagueis learned how to prevent those who he cared from dying, and even how to manipulate the Force to create life. Using his abilities, Plagueis managed to influence the midi-chlorians to conceive a boy,a living embodiment of the Force.
When his apprentice, an ambitious Sith, learned of the master's deed, he knew the boy was meant to replace him.
Following the ways of the Sith, the apprentice attacked the master, killing Plagueis as he slept. The apprentice, who already had his secret pupil, then took the mantle of Dark Lord of the Sith, Darth Sidious.
As Sidious climbed to power, he had other pupils, Maul and Tyranus, until the time came to seduce to the Dark Side Plagueis creation, Anakin Skywalker.
